Your instructor will divide you into groups to complete the following tasks:

  1. Select a website to explore and redesign. Students may come prepared with one to work on. Or groups may select something from Websites that Suck.
  2. In your group (2-3 people), analyse the site to decide its main purpose and intended audience.
  3. Brainstorm how to redesign the site to better meet the goals you identified for the audience you define.
  4. Rough out your ideas using PowerPoint (or Photoshop if a team member prefers).
  5. Each team will be asked to briefly (5 min) present your decisions in class. Be sure to cover:
    • Diagnosis of what's wrong with the site.
    • The purpose and audience identified.
    • Design decisions or princples for re-design.
    • At least one example of plans to implement the decision (illustrated with PowerPoint mock-up or described).
